TON at Mozfest

This year, the ever-eventful Mozilla festival (#Mozfest) went virtual. With the world still trying to figure out its way out of a global pandemic, an in-person festival was out of the question.

TON made its debut at the exciting Mozilla festival (#Mozfest) where we facilitated a session on the 14th of March, discussing who we are and what we do. In addition to sharing our work, we had a great opportunity to interact with other individuals working around storytelling as well as those who are simply consumers of the stories. What made it an even more special experience for us was hearing from Africans, both in the continent and the diaspora about how they would like to see and hear their stories being told. The opportunity to renew our commitment to telling authentic African stories as well as honoring the people to whom these stories belong was cemented by this experience.

We are excited for what the future holds and look forward to continued partnerships with Mozfest and other entities world over who share in our values.

Here’s a video recap, enjoy!
